Here’s a thought for you…one I like to share with my business friends and clients:


If you’re reading this thinking “But that doesn’t apply to me, I’m too busy, I don’t have the time to dedicate to marketing myself”, then you probably need to take heed of this advice right away.

Take a moment and think hard about it – what are you so busy doing? And is that thing you’re so busy doing making you any money right now?

If you’ve managed to get by up until this point making money without marketing your business, then great, but imagine how far you could grow your business if you started marketing to your past, present and future clients?


Marketing isn’t purely about winning new customers and bringing fresh blood to your client base.

It’s much more than that. It’s about –

  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with the customers you already serve
  • Discovering new and improved ways to serve your clients
  • Communicating and reminding your clients the very “reasons why” they need to continue doing business with you, not only now, but in the future as well.
  • Giving your customers compelling reasons to do business with you “right now!”
  • And much, MUCH MORE!


Waiting for that quiet spot when you’re not too busy and then marketing yourself could be business suicide! Don’t leave it until it’s too late and your current well of clients dries up and you have no money coming in!

If you make marketing your business, you should never have to worry about money coming in again. Instead, your biggest concern would be what you’re going to spend all that money on!

So just to really drill home my point and make this message crystal clear: MARKETING IS YOUR BUSINESS!

Everything else is secondary.

Find creative ways to keep in touch with your prospects and customers, and you’ll never go hungry.
